La fête des mères, c’est dans pas longtemps… Et pour chouchouter nos tendres mamans, nous vous proposons de leur confectionner, de vos blanches mains, un sublime champagne cake. Oui, oui, à l’occasion de cette fête, nous allons mettre les bulles à contribution et déguster un gâteau au goût tout aussi pétillant. Let’s go avec une recette de champagne cake en 3 étapes.

Les ingrédients

N’attendez pas le jour ‘J’ pour tester notre recette. Pour que la fête des mères soit réussie à 100% et que des étoiles brillent dans les yeux de vos mamans, nous vous conseillons de vous entrainer quelques jours à l’avance. Votre gâteau se doit d’être parfait ! Pour réaliser cette petite gourmandise, vous aurez besoin :

Pour le cake

  • 400 grammes de sucre semoule
  • 2 tasses de champagne à température ambiante
  • 1 cuillère à café et demie de levure chimique
  • ¾ tasse de beurre mou
  • 360 grammes de farine à pâtisserie
  • ¾ d’une cuillère à café de bicarbonate de soude
  • 6 blancs d’œuf
  • ¾ d’une cuillère à café de sel
  • Une gousse de vanille

Pour le glaçage

  • ¼ de tasse de champagne
  • 370 grammes de beurre ramolli
  • 480 grammes de sucre semoule
  • Une pincée de sel
  • Quelques gouttes de colorant alimentaire naturel rouge
  • Une cuillère à café d’arôme vanille

N’hésitez pas à remplacer les ingrédients par d’autres qui sont beaucoup plus diététiques. Vous pouvez également utiliser en dernier recours n’importe quel autre vin effervescent à la place du champagne.

Passons à la préparation de notre cake. Pour cela, nous allons commencer par fouetter, pendant 5 minutes, beurre et sucre jusqu’à obtenir une crème assez pâle. Vous pouvez maintenant rajouter les blancs d’œuf et les graines de vanille (que vous récupérez de la gousse). Entre-temps, tamisez tous vos ingrédients secs de sorte à enlever tout ce qui pourrait faire des grumeaux dans notre pâte. Nous n’avons plus qu’à verser dans notre préparation, le mélange d’ingrédients secs en alternant avec le champagne. Fouettez doucement jusqu’à obtenir une pâte homogène. Préchauffez le four à 350 et préparez deux moules en les beurrant et en les saupoudrant de farine. Ceci fait, versez-y une quantité équivalente de pâte et enfournez pour une grande demi-heure. Vérifiez la cuisson de votre gâteau à l’aide d’un cure-dent. Il doit être tout propre.

Le glaçage de notre champagne cake est très simple à réaliser. Il vous suffira de régler votre fouet électrique sur vitesse moyenne et de battre le beurre pendant 7 à 8 minutes. Sa consistance changera et deviendra plus pâle et nettement plus crémeuse. Vous pouvez maintenant rajouter le reste des ingrédients. Pour commencer, mélangez votre préparation à la main puis passez le relais à votre fouet électrique pendant un peu plus de 5 minutes. Votre glaçage est prêt. Il ne vous reste plus qu’à le mettre au frais. Une fois que vos gâteaux seront bien froids, enlevez la croûte supérieure puis superposez-les en les recouvrant généreusement de glaçage. Vous pouvez accompagner votre gâteau de quelques fruits rouges… Et voilà, votre champagne cake est prêt ! Et vos mamans n’auront plus qu’à savourer…
