Certains sites omettent d’afficher ces taxes locales pour donner l’illusion que leur offre est plus intéressante que d’autres sites. Bien qu’elle soit substantielle, cette taxe peut atteindre jusqu’à 20% du prix de la nuitée à Bali. Si la taxe n’est pas affichée sur la fiche produit, pensez à envoyer un e-mail au site que vous consultez.

Avant de vous envoler pour une destination exotique, renseignez-vous sur les facilités sur place. En effet certains sites vous vendront une formule petit déjeuner, alors que vous vous rendez dans un pays où il y a peu d’endroits où manger sur place, comme les Maldives. Demandez le plus de détails concernant les formules « All-inclusive » qui n’incluent pas la totalité des restaurants d’un hôtel, ou n’incluent pas les boissons alcoolisées.

Gardez à l’esprit que les sites de voyages useront des termes les plus ronflants pour rendre leur offre la plus attrayante possible. Les chambres qui constituent peut être l’élément le plus décisif du voyage sont généralement les mieux décrites. Faites donc attention aux expressions Deluxe ou premium qui concrètement ne décrivent en rien la chambre. Pensez à vérifier directement sur le site de l’hôtel.
